What’s Her Secret? Blogger Event w/ Restylane®

A few weeks back I headed down to Beso Hollywood to sit in on a presentation by Dr. Jason Emer of Beverly Hills. Restylane® & Dr. Emer invited me as they were introducing two exciting new products from the Restylane® family: 1. Restylane® Silk, the first FDA-approved product specifically designed for lip enhancement and the smoothing of wrinkles around the mouth and 2. Restylane® Lyft, the first and only FDA approved filler for cheek augmentation and the correction of moderate to severe smile lines. Ahhh, how did I join this age group so soon?! haha! Jokes aside, the presentation was beyond fascinating. I learned so much about the way our faces change as we age and what kind of preventive and/or corrective measures we are now able to take. Dr. Emer is so passionate about his work it shows while he speaks, everything was very easy to understand and if you guys follow me on snapchat you saw that he did a live demonstration of both Restylane® Silk & Restylane® Lyft on a first-time patient! Her initial results were amazing, Dr Emer is passionate and talented! His work was conservative and very natural looking, his patient didn’t seem to be in any discomfort or pain while he was administering the fillers in her cheeks and lips either. She literally gasped in delight the moment she saw herself in the mirror, lucky girl!

Restylane® Lyft is a minimally invasive procedure. As we age, fat and collagen begin to deteriorate in the face which causes the overlying skin to sag and creates more visible lines and wrinkles. Instead of stretching the skin to rid the patient of these lines and wrinkles – Restylane® Lyft knocks out two birds with one stone: It restores the lost volume which is one of the most defining characteristics of a youthful face and as it lifts the cheeks it will also in turn diminish the appearance of sagging skin and wrinkles. The majority of patients that took part in the clinical trial said their results lasted a year!

Lip injections are all the rage currently thanks to Miss Kylie Jenner. Restylane® Silk is exclusively designed for subtle lip enhancement and treatment of lines and wrinkles around the mouth. Just like the rest of our face, the lips and area surrounding the mouth begin to lose fat and collagen as we get older and the signs are visible – the lips get thinner, lose shape and vertical lines can appear above the lip known as Smoker’s Lines. Restylane® Silk is designed for those looking to address these signs of aging with a subtle enhancement.

Both Restylane® Lyft & Restylane® Silk are clear hyaluronic acid gels that are injected via ultrafine needles designed to minimize discomfort while being super precise. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance that already exists in the body.

Here are some before and after photos, you will notice a difference in the volume and smoothness of their lips as well as their cheeks – play special attention to the projection of their cheeks from a profile view.
