Silver Cross Wave Stroller

Strollers are not what they used to be when we were tiny tots. Baby products in general have come such a long way on every front: function, safety, convenience, and as a bonus.. style!

I’ve always been in love with the Silver Cross brand. The royal family has been loyal to them for over a century and Its been a dream of mine to own their Balmoral pram; but lets be real… I don’t have a princess’ bank account nor do I have the space in my tiny LA apartment.

In comes the Wave, Silver Cross’ new family friendly, full travel system stroller. Silver Cross introduced the Wave to the US earlier this year, Iya and I were lucky enough to be gifted one from them with a ton of accessories in tow! We own a few different strollers and I just have to say that the Wave is in a class of its own, it moves like butter and is so beautiful and luxurious. Iya is just shy of 5 months old so she is still using the bassinet or carseat attachment. The bassinet is too gorgeous not to use though so we rarely use our Wave with her carseat. We love it especially for longer outings and events because she can comfortably sleep in her cushy bassinet which is one of the only in the stroller market approved for overnight sleep — great for a weekend at grandma’s! It’s quilted, made from natural bamboo fabrics, and has tons of ventilation. For a baby that loves to be held (who doesn’t?), Iya stays very content and comfortable in her bassinet.

While the Wave might not be priced like Silver Cross’ Balmoral pram, its definitely a premium stroller and worth every penny. The biggest selling point for me is that it grows with your family. When investing in baby items, I try to always plan for the future — bigger items being able to be handed down or expanded, and always in gender neutral colors is very important for us. The Wave is future-proofed and can easily be converted into a tandem double stroller with the footprint of a single — could you even imagine navigating a store with a wide double!? A second bassinet, seat, or car seat can be attached to the chassis in 16 different configurations making the Wave absolutely perfect for siblings or twins. I honestly think I’ll enjoy this beast even more when we add on for baby #2!

Putting the Wave together was so simple, I thought there would be a lot of installation necessary but all I had to do was pop the wheels on. It came with mosquito nets and rain covers for both the seat and bassinet, as well as a cupholder. Silver Cross was so generous in including a parasol, which is so necessary in this California sun, and a stylish backpack diaper bag which my husband has already swiped lol! I’ll give you guys a look at the bag when Iya switches from the bassinet to the seat next month (where is the time going?!)

The Wave is available in four colors, I got it in Granite but it’s also available in Sable, Claret, & Midnight Blue. Every single color is stunning but I knew I wanted a neutral grey.

Thank you Silver Cross for the unbelievably generous gift!
