Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer & Smooth Operator Finishing Powder | #BakingWithTarte

Where has this concealer been all my life!? I’m a huge huge fan of Tarte’s Maracuja products, the oil and Maracuja Miracle Foundation being my absolute favesies! Being a girl with extremely dry skin (& a history of eczema), I crave moisture; so it is no surprise at all that Tarte’s Maracuja Creaseless Concealer worked out very well for me. It’s moisturizing, full-coverage, thick but very easy to blend out and smooth creating a flawless but natural finish. I would say that this is the perfect under-eye concealer but I dont know if I would personally use it anywhere else on my face or over blemishes because of it’s rich and softening texture. I’m all about under-eyes so having a dedicated product just for them is not even close to being a negative attribute for me! This concealer definitely decreases the appearance of fine lines under my eyes (it’s all about that moisture!) and does not crease, flake, or crack throughout the day. Obsessed.

Eid Makeup Tutorial | Green Glitter

Hello my loves!! An early Eid Mubarak to everyone celebrating this week! As usual I put together some glam inspo for the holiday and I hope you guys love it! My makeup is usually pretty neutral so I wanted a pop of color and sparkle on my lids – The rest of my face of course is safe-ol-Irene 🙂 I took another swing at baking for this tutorial and I’m loving how it turned out!! Finding the right translucent powder and figuring out the right amount of bake-time for your skintype is so crucial. I used Tarte’s Smooth Operator Finishing Powder and so far I like it much better than the previous powders I’ve tried to bake with: LA Girl, Dermablend, Ben Nye.. but I won’t chat about it now because Tarte’s Smooth Operator + Maracuja Creaseless Concealer is my next product review! I’ll have it up tonight but in the meantime.. enjoy the tutorial! mwah!

GRWM Pre-Emmys! Fall Makeup

Being a new California transplant, I am currently missing everything about my favorite season: brisk weather, colorful leaves, apple cider.. wah! But, fall also means all of my favorite shows are coming back on TV and it’s award season!! I was invited to go backstage at the Emmys on Friday to check out all things behind-the-scenes and do a little social media before the big show tonight. But… being this new California transplant.. I often find myself lost and confused. It was all pretty last minute so in my mind when i heard “Microsoft Theatre” I thought “Chinese Theatre” which is only 15-20 minutes away from where I live. Womp womp.. that is not where I was supposed to be going so by the time I got to the correct DTLA destination.. I was too late :-/ Sigh! while I missed my opportunity, I did manage to film myself getting ready! What was supposed to be a GRWM/vlog turned into just a makeup tutorial but I do love the look and I hope you guys love it too!! Enjoy!

BH Cosmetics Wild & Radiant Highlighter Palette

Fri-YAY! SO glad the week is over but before I log off for the weekend I wanted to share with you an amazing highlighter palette – BH Cosmetics Wild & Radiant! Can you say YUMMY? I love baked highlighters and these are simply stunning! If your makeup addiction is on a budget, this is all you need and the best part is that it’s on sale for only $6!!! The palette has a great range of shades that you won’t need to splurge on any more highlighting products (unless of course, you want to. *points to self*). The shades range from pearl/opal to a deep bronzy gold (perfect dupe for MAC Gold Deposit IMO!) and an even deeper rose gold. They can be applied wet or dry. My swatches are dry finger swatches and the pigmentation is out of this world! They’re baked illuminators so a little bit will go a long way!
