Nosebleeds, eczema, itchy, scaly skin.. the reasons why I’ve always kept a humidifier in my bedroom since childhood are endless; but I could never tell if the air in my bedroom actually felt different than the rest of the house. Sometimes I felt like I had to have it blasting directly on my face in order to feel the hydrating comfort on my skin, eyes, and nose – but who wants to wake up clammy and damp?! I’m at that stage in my life where we are beginning to plan for a family, and although I am not expecting, I am forever making mental-mommy notes. This humidifier uses Ultraviolet Cleanse Technology to kill 99.9% of bacteria in the water releasing hygienic mist and hydrated air into the room. Every single drop of water is exposed to a UVC light upon turning on the machine – it takes about three minutes before it begins to humidify. The amount of bacteria and yuckies that can grow in sitting water is a scary thing that becomes more alarming when babies are in the picture. This humidifier and its hygienic mist is definitely going to be staying with us as our family begins to grow – so although it is a pricy piece, its longevity and health benefits are worth the price tag IMO.
