What day of the week IS it?! Ahhhh I’ve been running around like a crazy person. I’m leaving for Miami in less than 24 hours and I need to shop, pack, and who knows what else! I’m going to be gone for about two weeks and I’m so excited and stressed out at the same time. From Miami I’ll be going to Ohio for a wedding, back to LA for a few hours to leave for Brazil and Argentina later that night! o_0 Yikes! Feeling super overwhelmed but super blessed at the same time – it’ll be my first time in South America (or the southern hemisphere at all!) and I can’t wait! If any of you have been to either country – please leave me some tips and must-sees (& must-eats!!). Also, please make sure you’re following me on Instagram and Snapchat where I’ll be sharing everything!! #irenesarahtravels
When I travel I try my hardest to take as little makeup as possible.. You guys know I layer and layer and layer when I go full glam but I always end up breaking products or leaving things in hotel rooms when I’m living out of a suitcase. So today I’ve created for you a look with just a few products and even fewer brushes – I also used drugstore foundation because I get paranoid about taking the pricy stuff through TSA. *Regina George voice* Is foundation a liquid?!
Sorry for the incomplete posts this week!! I have a busy two weeks of traveling coming up so I’ve been running around like a headless chicken and while I didn’t have time to get these product lists at 100% I didn’t want to delay posting videos that were ready to go – so if you checked here earlier, so sorry that i forgot all the eye products! Butttttt thanks everyone for all of the wonderful feedback so far – the video’s only been up a few hours but the love has been pouring in.. THANK YOU!! Waseem & I did the Husband Does my Makeup Tag awhile ago, so today we were going along that same idea but with a twist! We share our home “office” so I often do my voiceovers with him in the room and he’s constantly mocking and imitating me lol so birthed the idea of Husband Does my Voiceover. If there are any other goofy couples you know of on the internets.. send them my video to “tag” them to create their own!
Sorry guys for the incomplete post! Stress levels are a little high today and I have to run but I will complete this product list in a couple hours — I just didnt want to delay posting my video for you guys any further! Enjoy!
I’ve been a huge fan and follower of South Asian Bride Magazine since my very early 20s – before Instagram & before I was even close to being a bride. What sparked my interest? The photography. As I was dipping my toes in the industry as a budding photographer I would flip through SAB’s huge glossy pages in awe, the quality of the collective work in their issues were always immaculate.. [real, working] fashion models, luxury designers, and top notch photographers. It’s hard to find Desi magazines that do it right, where they can actually sit amongst the Vogues & Harper’s Bazaars of the industry – SAB is it! And the fact that it’s an American publication is a huge deal. The South Asian entertainment industry in America is, generally speaking, non-existent; unlike the UK where excellence in our community is not only acknowledged but celebrated with events like the Asian Awards. My hope as we grow in numbers and continue venturing out of our boxes is that we become a true community, one that supports and celebrates one other. I’ll get off my soapbox in a moment haha but this is something I’ve always been passionate about. I always use the Latino community as an example – i love the way that they grow as a cohesive unit – The Alma Awards, Latin Grammys, Latin Billboards, Cosmo for Latinas, Etc would not exist without the support. Support = growth! & growth = quality media! [/end monologue]
When South Asian Bride Magazine reached out earlier this summer to feature me in a special edition issue amongst some pretty amazing women, I was beyond honored and excited! Their special Beauty & Fashion edition hit the shelves today, and you guys have to check it out – not just for the beautiful bloggers but the fashion spreads are just to die for! My gf Tamanna gorgeously graced the cover and I’m so excited to share the feature with super-sweetie, Farah Dhukai, who has become one of my dearest friends! I loved reading about Sharifa, Megha, & Uma who I don’t know too personally yet but hopefully that’ll change soon! Congrats ladies!!
Happy Sunday my loves, I hope you’re all having a wonderful weekend! So many of you have asked for a strobing tutorial even though we all know that its the same thing as highlighting just sans the contour. I can’t live without my contour so I’ve put together a video with my highlight recipe ;) — trust me when I say it’s layers upon layers lol. Highlighters are truly an addiction for me, let me know what your fav products are below! PS what do you guys think of my new filming set up?! This was my second go at it and I like it so much more than my last video! I’m just obsessed with how it looks in this video – it reminds me a lot of my photography work in motion! Let me know what you think!
