Thanks babes for all of the love on this makeup look! Tbh it’s one of my faves! As I mentioned in my review of the Nikkie Tutorials x Too Faced The Power of Makeup Collection, it’s usually pretty hard for me to get color to POP on my lower lashline. My shadows end up muddying and looking lifeless. With these shadows, however, the jewel-tones popped on my brown eyes all night long. I hope you guys really love this tutorial – I slowed down a lot more than usual and really went through my full face routine thoroughly showing you how I layer all of my complexion products, bake, and contour my nose. I hope it’s super helpful, let me know! For a list of all of the products used in this tutorial (with direct links!), keep reading this post!
Happy Monday! I hope you all had an amazing weekend. Just like many of you, Nikkie Tutorials is one of my absolute favorite beauty YouTubers — if not my absolute favorite. Her artistry is an undeniable talent but it’s her production value that really drew me to her when I discovered her channel last year (I’m always late on the train!). Everything is perfection from start to finish, her backdrops, lighting, makeup, and of course her awesome personality. I was so excited to see she was creating a palette with Too Faced, perfectly named The Power of Makeup, and was even more geeked when it showed up on my doorstep (thank you!!!).
I always strayed away from traditional nail polish on my hands because I always felt that it would start chipping almost immediately. For me, a manicure never lasted more than a day or two so I always gravitated towards acrylics and gel manicures all throughout my 20s. I love doing my nails myself when I have some downtime and I’ve been on the hunt for a polish that stays on and looks fresh for days. In comes Revlon ColorStay Gel Envy™ Longwear Nail Enamel and even better… Revlon’s incredible Gel Envy Diamond Top Coat™! This product is not only easy to apply with it’s wider brush, but also longwearing and shiny!… View Post
Happy Saturday, I hope your weekend is off to a beautiful start!
We all have our favorite steps when it comes to doing our makeup, mine has always been my actual face. I always wish I could just do my face and have someone else do my eyes and lips. I love color correcting, highlighting, & contouring – just really sculpting and defining the face. The most important step is foundation, if its off, it’ll throw the rest of it off and you’ll probably end up with “ghost face” in photos. Worry not, we’ve all been there but with a few easy tips hopefully it’ll make it simpler to find your perfect match!… View Post
A belated Eid Mubarak to everyone that celebrated last week! With all of the tragedies happening around the world, especially during the last 10 days of Ramadan, it’s been a very difficult time for the global community. Celebrating while so many people are suffering left me feeling so guilty about even thinking about what to wear or what makeup look to do for Eid. I did realize though that stopping life isn’t productive for anyone. It doesn’t relieve the hardship or pain endured by the less fortunate; however, giving back is a start. Charity is rewarded tenfold during Ramadan but we shouldn’t forget to be generous the rest of the year. We have a little Muslim community going here in LA (alhamdulilah!) and the husbands were brainstorming different charities for us to donate to as a squad. For me at least, it’s hard to figure out what is legit and who is honest so I’m so happy that the husbands took it upon themselves to do the brunt work that is.. research! If you are interested here are some foundations that Waseem & I have donated or are donating to!
I encourage you all to leave some more suggestions in the comments section – it would be so helpful to me and I’m sure to others as well!
Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy the makeup tutorial! xo
