Santorini Vlog + Travelgram

Finally! My Santorini travel vlog is done! I feel like I dragged my feet with it for months and then these past 5 days or so I worked on it around the clock – from the moment I woke up until 4am every night. I am really happy with how it turned out & hope you love it too! If you’re looking for tips please check out my written Santorini Travel Guide; I also have a review of the hotel we stayed at in Oia – Andronis Luxury Suites.

A Manicure That Survives the Kitchen

I always strayed away from traditional nail polish on my hands because I always felt that it would start chipping almost immediately. For me, a manicure never lasted more than a day or two so I always gravitated towards acrylics and gel manicures all throughout my 20s. I love doing my nails myself when I have some downtime and I’ve been on the hunt for a polish that stays on and looks fresh for days. In comes Revlon ColorStay Gel Envy™ Longwear Nail Enamel and even better… Revlon’s incredible Gel Envy Diamond Top Coat™! This product is not only easy to apply with it’s wider brush, but also longwearing and shiny!

How to Find Your Foundation Shade

Happy Saturday, I hope your weekend is off to a beautiful start!

We all have our favorite steps when it comes to doing our makeup, mine has always been my actual face. I always wish I could just do my face and have someone else do my eyes and lips. I love color correcting, highlighting, & contouring – just really sculpting and defining the face. The most important step is foundation, if its off, it’ll throw the rest of it off and you’ll probably end up with “ghost face” in photos. Worry not, we’ve all been there but with a few easy tips hopefully it’ll make it simpler to find your perfect match!

Travelgram: Bali, Indonesia

Happy Throwback Thursday!

I spent a couple weeks in Bali last month and it might sound silly but I was so proud of my Instagram feed! I know, some of you blogging-veterans (or fans of said veterans) are probably chuckling thinking well, that’s cute – but hear me out!! Drool-worthy feeds are not easy to curate even with a photographer/IG-husband in tow – not that I have either of those things! I was stressed before embarking on this solo-trip because I knew I would have to create everything myself. I mentally rallied and was up for the challenge. I was already heading to Bali to learn front-end web development @ Institute of Code so why not also push my photography/selfie skills to the next level too? I just love how everything turned out and I’m so excited to get started on my full travel-diary and vlogs soon. In the meantime.. here’s a little sneak peek! Check out the full post to take a look back at my Bali feed. #tbt

Get Ready With Me for Eid!

A belated Eid Mubarak to everyone that celebrated last week! With all of the tragedies happening around the world, especially during the last 10 days of Ramadan, it’s been a very difficult time for the global community. Celebrating while so many people are suffering left me feeling so guilty about even thinking about what to wear or what makeup look to do for Eid. I did realize though that stopping life isn’t productive for anyone. It doesn’t relieve the hardship or pain endured by the less fortunate; however, giving back is a start. Charity is rewarded tenfold during Ramadan but we shouldn’t forget to be generous the rest of the year. We have a little Muslim community going here in LA (alhamdulilah!) and the husbands were brainstorming different charities for us to donate to as a squad. For me at least, it’s hard to figure out what is legit and who is honest so I’m so happy that the husbands took it upon themselves to do the brunt work that is.. research! If you are interested here are some foundations that Waseem & I have donated or are donating to!

I encourage you all to leave some more suggestions in the comments section – it would be so helpful to me and I’m sure to others as well!

Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy the makeup tutorial! xo
