Happy Monday! Weeee I’m super excited about today’s makeup tutorial because it’s probably my favorite makeup I’ve done on myself yet. I don’t know if it’s because I really took the time to show you contouring, highlighting, and baking, but it finished so flawlessly! I hope you all love it too! I wanted to do a tutorial on Instagram makeup. To me, this is the look that’s trending all over the insta-sphere, and it’s also a look that a lot of people hate.. its pretty polarizing. Glam girls love it but a lot of MUAs in the industry hate it for how bold and harsh it can be. Different strokes for different folks! A girl like me loves me some cake, so be prepared to watch me layer it on!! :)
Belated Eid Mubarak to all of my Muslim readers & also lots of warm wishes to my Jewish followers for Yom Kippur last week as well! #LunarCalendarSquad
My in laws are in town visiting and I was so happy and excited to finally be able to spend Eid with them. They live overseas in Saudi Arabia so getting our holiday schedules lined up isn’t the easiest! My mother-in-laws food is literally the best Pakistani/Desi food I’ve ever had so she has been blessing us and our stomachs all week and she brought my gorgeous Eid outfit from Saudi too – mom plays no games! I was running on literally no sleep so I didn’t get to go the whole nine yards with my makeup the morning of but My philosophy is that if your foundation/face is on fleek.. you can keep the rest simple and still look like a million bucks! A little wing tip courtesy of Tarte’s Tarteist clay paint liner and a Sephora Lip Cream was all I needed.. Enjoy the tutorial!
Hello my loves!! An early Eid Mubarak to everyone celebrating this week! As usual I put together some glam inspo for the holiday and I hope you guys love it! My makeup is usually pretty neutral so I wanted a pop of color and sparkle on my lids – The rest of my face of course is safe-ol-Irene :) I took another swing at baking for this tutorial and I’m loving how it turned out!! Finding the right translucent powder and figuring out the right amount of bake-time for your skintype is so crucial. I used Tarte’s Smooth Operator Finishing Powder and so far I like it much better than the previous powders I’ve tried to bake with: LA Girl, Dermablend, Ben Nye.. but I won’t chat about it now because Tarte’s Smooth Operator + Maracuja Creaseless Concealer is my next product review! I’ll have it up tonight but in the meantime.. enjoy the tutorial! mwah!
