Last week I had the pleasure of working with Paromita Mitra, Miss Mississippi USA 2013. I wish someone had told me about her sooner, wah! I missed Miss USA live this year so I was watching it online a few days later – the moment I saw her introduce herself I quickly hit pause and did a google search thinking “that girl HAS to be Bengali!” I was right and my fangirling began as I sifted through google images, especially over her Fadil glam shot!!!! I always love Fadil Berisha’s themed contestant photos, 2013’s theme was Gatsby and Paromita’s was one of my absolute favorites by far. Just STUNNING. I went over to twitter to follow her and saw she was already following me. We exchanged some tweets and DMs for a couple months before finally setting up our shoot last week in Chicago. Turns out she’s been wanting to shoot with me for years and *almost* emailed me before she was off to Miss USA.. *pout* I wish I could have worked with her sooner and been there for the journey but where one chapter closes, another begins 🙂 This girl is brains and beauty, an aerospace engineer by day currently working on her feature film debut “Mumbai Blown”
She will be crowning her successor this weekend so to all the ladies competing in Miss Mississippi USA 2014.. GOOD LUCK & enjoy every moment!

We had a busy day! first we shot a beauty spread for Indian Weddings Magazine which will be on the shelves in the spring. I know its sooo far away but who knows when she’ll be back in Chicago to shoot with me, so above is a little sneaky BTS peek at what we created for the mag.
