A couple weeks ago I rambled on my Instagram about wanting to start doing product reviews & features on my blog. My makeup collection is getting larger & more overwhelming every day (#hoarderproblems). And what do I do when I get overwhelmed? I avoid! Ironically, as my collection gets larger I, as a result, use fewer products & find myself constantly using the same few items in all of my looks because my things aren’t organized and/or I feel like I haven’t had the time to really try the products and see if I could love something new. Not only does doing product features like this let me sit down and properly experiment, but it allows me to show you everything as opposed to just the one shade I decided to use in a look. This is my first time taking product photos so bear with me as I learn & improve!
Without further ado, today I have for you LA Girl Cosmetics‘ brand new Matte Flat Finish Pigment Gloss.. in all 16 shades! Matte liquid lipsticks & glosses are all the rage right now and with so many different options on the market it’s amazing to find something that’s budget friendly but still great quality! These are available on LA Girl‘s website for $5 each!
I really like the formula of these, they go on watery but aren’t runny nor do they bleed. I didn’t think they’d dry as matte as they do but they dry completely matte with no shine at all. Because the formula is “thin” they’re extremely buildable which is great for the darker or more vibrant shades which require a few applications. Once dry, they do not budge at all.. I had a very difficult time getting the darker shades off even with a makeup wipe and an eye makeup remover so they have insane lasting power. Eat, kiss, talk all you want, your lippy isn’t going anywhere! A couple of the shades did leave a stain on my lips but that isn’t a positive or negative thing for me since the stain was always pink! Let me know if you’ve tried any of these and what your favorite shade is! xo

What affordable lipliner would you recommend for rebel?
Hello I just bought this gloss in Blackcurrant and I love it.. the color is beautiful.. I’m new to this matte lipstick thing so I’m not good at applying it. Every time I apply it, it cracks and starts peeling off.. could you please help me out? Tips on how you apply yours so flawlessly would be great.. thanks
Hi! I noticed these liquid lipsticks/glosses whatever you want to call them look super smooth and nice on your pictures! Do you put anything on your lips in advanced because I own a couple of these and they are super sticky on my lips and almost rub off into these little nasty balls after pressing my lips together ? Any tips?

hmm!!! since I have so much photography equipment to begin with I used a lot of what I have already but I use this lightbox: CowboyStudio Table Top Photo Studio Light Tent Kit in a Box – 1 Tent, 2 Light Set, 1 Stand, 1 Case
& it comes with lights so its perfect for beginners!
What lipliner did you use for the purple gloss?
I didn’t wear lipliner for any of the swatches! They’d look much better if my lips were lined but I didn’t want to affect the color since theyre swatches! xo
