Having a history of horrible childhood eczema, I’ve tried practically every lotion on the market to soothe my uncomfortable skin. I used to get thick, bright red, itchy sore-like rashes on the insides of my elbows and knees. Although these have completely gone away since I cleared adolescence (thank goodness!!!), I still suffer from chronically dry skin. I hate getting wet because I have to fully lotion up afterwards or my “skin” will crawl, feel tight, and I will be visibly ashy. Of course my husband was blessed with the complete opposite skin, he never puts on lotion and the bottom of his foot seriously feels like my face LOL! If I don’t moisturize regularly, problem areas tend to pop up: dry, rough, flaky patches that need a little extra love & care. During our trip to Greece and Turkey last month we were on 8 planes within a week and a half and I came prepared for the dry plane-air with moisturizing paper masks for my face. What I didn’t think to pay extra attention to was my body and I was left with a few rough patches thirsty for moisture.
I came home to a package from AmLactin Skin Care with a variety of their products and I dove in right away. I change moisturizers often because it seems that as soon as I find something that works for me, it either gets reformulated or discontinued (so frustrating!); so I was more than ready to try something new! I’ve been lathering up with AmLactin Moisturizing Body Lotion & Cerapeutic Restoring Body Lotion for about three weeks now and my skin is so hydrated and more importantly.. Comfortable. The ashy, rough patches I mentioned earlier are no longer ashy, are supple and are starting to blend back in with the rest of my skin. If you take a look below, all that is left is a tiny bit of bumpiness which is smoothing out day by day. Summer is around the corner and the last thing anyone needs to feel self conscious about are tanktops!
Uncover smooth, radiant skin with AmLactin Alpha-Hydroxy Skin Care. Its unique exfoliating and hydrating alpha-hydroxy therapy gently removes dead skin cells to reveal soft, hydrated skin. It’s the difference between skin care and skin therapy. AmLactin moisturizers are available on Amazon.com and at your local Target, CVS, Walgreens, Costco, Walmart and Rite Aid.
I use AmLactin Cerapeutic Restoring Body Lotion when I am fully moisturizing: out of the shower or before bed. This was created to relieve extreme dryness for 24 hours so needless to say it keeps me hydrated all day and at night while I rest. I use AmLactin Moisturizing Body Lotion more for maintenance like when I’m feeling a little dry or uncomfortable mid-day, I like to keep a little bottle in my purse and on my desk. AmLactin uses powerful alpha-hydroxy therapy which exfoliates and hydrates so skin will feel smooth and soft, it’s the best-kept secret for dry skin and I wish I had discovered it sooner! Keep in mind that the alpha-hydroxy acid in these products may increase your skin’s sensitivity to sunburn so don’t forget the sunblock which you should be doing anyways!

Hi Irene! Your posts are so beneficial! Thank you sir this post. Recently I got a rash on my forearm that led up to eczema, I’m in my mid 20s and never really had dry skin. I tried hydrocortisone but didn’t want to use it too much, researched a bit and tried eucerin (it helped for a bit) but now I’m always dry and flakey around my cheeks, chin, hands, arms, knees, and feet. I’ve been trying everything and I’m still having dry patchy areas. The worst part is having to deal with makeup and the dry areas around my face, I always use moisturizers and exfoliate once a week but nothing’s working. I would love to try out this new product and see if this would be more effective than everything else I’ve tried. Thank you!

I have eczema and my skin is always dry and patchy. I would love to try the moisturizing body lotion and also the cerapeutic restoring body lotion.
I would love to try their ultra hydrating body cream, I have extremely dry skin and due to that have rough and bumpy spots, this hydrates deeply which is exactly what I need.

My dermatologist recommended this to me for the rough skin on my neck. I would love to try a lotion that gives me long lasting results and repairs as well.

I have very wired skin type 😛 my face is combination oily and my body is dry. I have used so many different body lotions under the sun, but I still haven’t found a really good one that I would love and say its my holy grail body lotion. I have really rough patches on my arms no matter how much I exfoliate and use think lotions nothing has really helped me 🙁 After reading your review and their website I am interested in buying these two products,

Hope to win this time 🙂 😉
This is the first time I’ve heard of this brand and I’d love to try them! Similar to you I’ve had eczema growing up and for a while it went away but now I’m 22 and the dry patches are appearing again. I have really sensitive skin and dry patches on my face are showing even more when I try to put makeup on and it’s really difficult to deal with. I’ve tried everything from Aveeno, Vaseline, Eucerin and even Cocoa Butter but nothing seems to help long term. After looking at there website I think I would use the Amlactin Cerapeutic Restoring Body Lotion and the Hydrating body cream because I have the same bumps on my arm and I hope they’ll help re-hydrate my skin! We have similar skin types and skin colors so I trust that if it works for you it will work for me too!

Even though I’m about to turn 20, I still have severe eczema on arms and face. I have been through so many different home remedies and lotions but nothing seems to consistently work for me. Its especially tough because the eczema I have on my face is mostly around my lips and its ruining the shape of my lips. The eczema on my forearms and hands become crazy itchy and when it finally clears up, I end up with dark spots. I’ve resorted to literally rubbing olive oil all over my body and face after I shower but that only helps for that day. I’m hoping to try these products since this is the first time I’ve heard of them and I’ve tried basically everything else!

I have dry skin on my face and it gives me dry patches a lot of times and I constantly have pores I’m thinking probably because of my dry skin. I moisturize with Neutrogena but it doesn’t do the trick. I also feel like under my chin, its showing signs of eczema. I would like to try the Amlactin Ultra Hydrating Body Cream.
