Happy Fri-Yay!
This year has been quite the doozy! I think I’ve traveled internationally at least once a month since March, with the exception of May. Not only has it been an exciting year traveling the globe, I got to visit my dream destination twice in the same season! My husband and I visited Santorini during our anniversary trip in March and I was back again in August! Santorini Secret Suites & Spa was generous in hosting me and their property was such a quintessential Oia dream – everything was so white, clean & dreamy. Located right off the pedestrian walkway in Oia, shopping and restaurants were available all around the property. During our first visit at a different property, our room was on the street level so it wasn’t built into the cliffside like the rest of the hotel and like most of the residences in Oia. At Santorini Secret, we had such a Cycladic experience living and sleeping in our cavernous room!
Everything is carved into the cliff so be prepared for a ton of stairs! I get tired easily so I was happy to have a higher room; but the lower you get, the more private the rooms get as well. I had no issues with guests walking by when we were lounging on our terrace though (which was rare anyways!); & from inside the room you can’t hear a thing! So peacefully quiet & private.
Santorini is the most photogenic place I’ve been & any picture taken outside on the terraces or stairs at the hotel will be flawless by default. You can’t take a bad photo with all the light reflecting everywhere and the ever-so-perfect backdrop! You gotta check it out below to believe it!
Walking up to our cave suite from the check-in office!
I was catching up on a little bit of work outside during sunrise while I waited for breakfast. It was a little cooler & foggy out after raining the night before. I couldn’t believe how beautiful even cloudy weather is in Santorini! *heart eyes*

Breakfast was served on our terrace every morning at our selected time. So delicious, I miss it all the time!
It looks amazing! love your pictures! me and my husband are planning to go in April but not sure how the weather will be as it says online it won’t be warm. How was the temperature when you went in March? x
Thank you Sania! So excited for your trip, you two will have an amazing time! We actually arrived March 31st so our trip was really the first few days of April 🙂
The weather was BEAUTIFUL! Very comfortably warm during the day – I was able to wear tank tops no problem. The evenings were chilly but nothing a sweater couldn’t fix. The only thing you can’t really do is swim, Waseem hit the pool a few times but I didn’t! It’s much less busy in April than summer so I think a little chilliness is totally worth it!
Have an amazing trip!
Thanks for letting me know! xx
Just the info I needed!! My trip is next April and I’m getting my outfits ready (i know it’s to early) but I’m freaking excited!!!
