Dining Room Beginnings

Hi loves!

Slowly but surely we’re beginning to settle in to the new house. I’ve been getting so many messages from you guys about our dining set from the little peeks I’ve been sharing! We still have quite a ways to go with our dining room: we need a rug, chandelier, window treatments, wainscoting & maybe even some paint. So we definitely have our work cut out for us but I wasted no time with getting our furniture because we had nowhere to eat our first week here!

Waseem and I are traumatized by color lol we look back at our first apartment and we had some tacky turquoise theme going on that makes us cringeeee. We’ve tried to stick with neutrals ever since but these royal blue chairs had us THIRSTY!!! So stunning IRL and in photos (y’all know my house has to be photogenic lol).

One thing that we really wanted was a huge kitchen island but it ended up being one of our sacrifices because we loved the rest of the house so much (don’t even get me started on the LA housing market). Since our kitchen is all marble, I really wanted a marble dining table so the room flows from the kitchen with the same vibe creating that island feel without compromising a formal dining room.

I decided to do chairs on 3 sides of the table with a bench on the outside edge to open up some visual space. The chairs and bench aren’t from the same brand but the blues match perfectly! I’ll share more photos as we progress 🙂
