Colourpop Cosmetics CrèmeGel Liners | Swatches & Review

Hello love bugs!! Colourpop Cosmetics just released a huge collection of CrèmeGel Liners & CrèmeGel Colours! I was in Vegas this weekend singing and dancing my heart out to Britney Spears so I wasn’t able to get this post up before they launched – a couple of the shades are sold out (Dirty Talk, Show Me Overboardbut luckily this is a permanent collection so I’m sure they’ll be available again in no time! Most of the shades are available though, woohoo! I was very skeptical about these before I dug in because I haven’t had the best luck with creme colors in the past, they’re usually too patchy or too watery for me to easily work with but these are really wonderful! I used a couple of the pots in my mermaid tutorial last week and today I used some of pencils for a leopard Halloween look I was trying out – I was pretty impressed both times! Today, I swatched them all and was even more impressed with not only the quality but how well the liners matched their accompanying pots – I’m sure that wasn’t easy while creating two different product formulas.  I received the collection in two boxes – I’m guessing neutrals and vivids (they weren’t labelled as they aren’t sold this way). The box of neutrals were amazing, no complaints at all about any of the shades – I would say they compare to mid to high-end products and at $6 for pots and $5 for liners each, that is a steal! I was impressed with the vivids as well as I know anything neon has the tendency to be patchy but most of these were great. I only had issues with Exit, Punch PuppyPunch Puppy I only didn’t like in the pot formula, the liners were still great!

Which shades do you have your eye on???

Rainbow Mermaid Makeup | Halloween

Happy Humpday!

I tried doing a mermaid makeup look two years ago and my scales were an epic fail! The fabric wasn’t right, brushing product over the fabric wasn’t very precise, the colors weren’t pigmented.. no bueno all around! I took a swing at it again this year and I’m obsessed!! I bought fishnet tights from Target and used my Belletto Studio Airbrush System to brush on a beautiful rainbowed gradient. Super quick and easy! I want to experiment airbrushing over lace as well for a more gothy look – still brainstorming Halloween looks! I also used Colourpop Cosmetics’ new gel liners for this look – they are releasing soon so I’ll be sure to get all 24 shades swatched and up here on the blog asap! I hope you love this look!

Sephora Collection Highlight Lowlight Face Contour Duo | Review

Happy Sunday! I was in Puerto Rico this week and just got back a few hours ago — *big stretch*. While I catch up on all of my shows I missed while away I wanted to share with you a new cream contour product I tried out last week! Sephora Collection Highlight Lowlight Face Contour Duo is so great for first timers as it’s so easy to learn and figure out your own technique with it. The product is very easy to blend into the skin and the finish is soft; perfect for daytime looks for those that don’t fancy a heavy or harsh contour (or highlight!). I tried out both Medium and Tan, both worked great but since the finish is more on the sheer side (sheer for me and my contour aesthetic lol) I prefer using Tan. I still reach for Medium when I throw on a light lick of makeup for everyday looks though! This stick is at a great price point of $20, available at Sephora!

Cut Crease Halloween Makeup + Purple Ombré Lip

Finally, my first Halloween-ish tutorial this year! If you’re not the costumey type but need a vampy, festive look for Halloween this is perfect for you! It would also fare well for a witch costume.. or just throw on some animal ears (duh!), hehe.

I’m usually not very into wild lip colors but I thought i’d risk it and get away from my usual safe tones and try a purple ombré lip! Boy, do I love it!!! I’m tempted to rock this at regular times of the year but I’m not sure if I’m comfortable breaking out of my neutral bubble just yet.. what do you think of this look on me?! Also, what’s everyone dressing up as this year? I have no idea what to be!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Illuminators | Review & Swatches

Hello my lovessss! Thank you everyone for the warm wishes!! On my birthday today, I’ll be sharing with you my favorite kind of cake 😉 haha! We’re all highlight crazy but for me it’s truly an addition. I got my hands on the Anastasia Beverly Hills Illuminators in all four shades: Starlight, So Hollywood, Peach Nectar, & Riviera. I also received Anastasia’s A23 brush which compliments these highlighters beautifully and is a great size to add a topper to your cheeks.

The range of these colors are gorgeous and there is something that suits every skintone! They aren’t powdery or ashy and have a metallic finish that I love, if you don’t like your highlight too bold just apply with a light hand and blend it out for a more subtle look.

Let’s take a look at the swatches….!
