Deepika Padukone Diwali Makeup

Hello my loves!!! I hope you’re all having an amazing weekend. I wanted to wish those of you celebrating, a very happy Diwali! I really enjoyed seeing everyone getting festive, dolled up, and celebrating via social media and I saw a photo of Deepika Padukone heading out to the Bachans’ Diwali party looking like absolute perfection (as always!). I don’t keep up with Bollywood movies but I definitely girlcrush over many of the actresses and the one that my eyes keep going back to is Deepika *heart eyes*. To be honest, when I looked at this makeup closer it looked so messy to me but she wore it flawlessly… me on the other hand can’t wear effortlessly messy looks – I just look like a slob haha so I did my best recreating her forest green smokey eye but polished it up a tad! What do you guys think?

Lancôme Auda[city] in Paris Palette

I’ve been a quiet Francophile ever since my husband proposed to me in Paris 3 years ago.. when he would call me his preanceé (pre-fianceé LOL). I am so overdue on a visit back! While I’ve had Paris on the brain, I was so excited to see Lancôme’s newest palette, Auda[city] in Paris, show up at my door! This is Lancôme’s first multi-pan palette and it’s a beauty! I used it in a makeup tutorial a few weeks ago so you might have caught it floating around my blog. I think it’s a great neutral-ish palette with a couple fun yet subtle colors. The shadows are pretty sheer, particularly the mattes, but everything is buildable especially if you use an eyeshadow primer (highly recommended with this palette) – I think Auda[city] in Paris is wonderful for the more conservative woman looking for a little variety without going overboard. It’s a great palette to create a day look that you can transform into an evening look – since I tend to be pretty gaudy with my makeup, I think I’ll gift this beauty to my mommy. She’ll love it!

Lancôme’s Auda[city] in Paris palette retails for $68 at all Lancôme counters & retailers.

Ulta, Sephora, Macy’s, Nordstorm, Bloomingdale’s, Saks, Bergdorf, Lord & Taylor, Neiman Marcus

Tarte Bling it on Blush Palette #Holidaze 2015

Gosh, when is the appropriate time to start sharing Holiday Collections?! I had Tarte’s #Holidaze collection sitting around for about a month but then even more showed up at my doorstep a couple days ago. This collection is getting larger and larger so I think I’ll share a piece or two at a time! First up is Tarte’s Bling it on Blush Palette. Five blushes (0.15 oz each) for $44 is a great bang for your buck since their individuals which are a little larger at 0.20 oz retail for $26 each. These are super long wearing and the colors are beautiful. I especially love Dollface, a light cool-toned pink; sometimes it’s hard for me to find a “barbie” pink that actually keeps it’s light color on my medium-toned skin without being ashy or too transparent. Love it! Luckily, Dollface is a permanent color in Tarte’s collection, I believe the other four are limited edition: Fetching, Prim, Smashing, & Beaming. They are all mattes except beaming which has some cool-toned sparkle in there!

I’ve included an honorable mention, Tarte’s bestselling Picture Perfect Eyelash Curler in gorgeous limited edition Holidaze packaging! All this beautiful makeup and that’s what I keep looking at and obsessing over lol! This lash curler was the first I ever owned back in 2010, and I love it even more all glammed out! This limited edition duo comes with a deluxe sample size of Lights, Camera, Flashes Statement Mascara.

Vaseline Intensive Care Advanced Repair Spray Moisturizer

Fall is my absolute favorite season but having naturally dry skin and a long history of eczema, the transition can be very uncomfortable and sometimes painful. I have to regularly moisturize in the fall more often than usual as my skin has the tendency to get ashy and rashy, I even had to pull out my humidifier a couple nights ago! I’m good about always taking care of my face and keeping it moisturized but my body has the tendency to get neglected since since I’m wearing more layers during these cooler months (yes even in LA!). Vaseline Intensive Care Advanced Repair Spray Moisturizer has been my saving grace, and in my opinion is the perfect fall moisturizer. Why specifically a good fall moisturizer you ask? It sprays on quick and dries even quicker making squeezing into those skinny jeans a breeze! My skin feels instantly soft, never greasy or sticky. My mom used to lather me up with literal Vaseline jelly as a kid; while it would keep my skin hydrated, I would be a greasy mess! This spray has tiny micro-droplets of Vaseline Jelly and has enough moisture to heal those of us with extremely dry skin. When I say I have super dry skin, I mean as a kid I would run my hands under the faucet because I didn’t know how to get rid of the icky (dry, tight, hot) feeling — lol all I needed was an effective moisturizer! My skin isn’t has sensitive as it was as a kid, but this product is dermatologist tested and unscented just in case! Try it yourself HERE and let me know below what your favorite dry skin solution is!

Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Glow Holiday 2015 Palette

I just love Holiday collections, they’re always so dreamy and magical LOL! I was totally on the Champagne Pop craze over the summer and so began my love affair with Becca’s Shimmering Skin Perfectors! Every shade is unique and flawless and I absolutely love layering them so having three shades in one palette gets me all kinds of excited. Becca & Jaclyn Hill have come together again and created Champagne Glow, inspired by the festive holiday season. This palette includes Pearl (a new shade!), Champagne Pop (obviously!), & Blushed Copper. Again, I love layering so my brain is already spinning with how I’m going to have these three colors work together.

This Palette is extremely limited so get your hands on it now HERE!
