Waseem‘s always wanted to spontaneously jet off for a weekend in Paris and we finally made it happen! After an intense several weeks for us both, a little detox is exactly what the doctor ordered.
I don’t know when I’ll get over off the shoulder tops, leggings, or all black haha but today’s outfit was so me! I got this ruched off the shoulder top for our trip and I’m seriously obsessed! It’s so flattering no matter how you’re feeling about your body (I spy a baby bump below!), plus the layers & textures give it such a high end feel that photographs flawlessly! I paired it with some liquid leggings and slipped on some comfy flats and I was good to go! All of my outfit details are at the bottom, enjoy!
Hi my gorgeous loves! I filmed this tutorial shortly after the 2016 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, obviously totally inspired by the gorgeous makeup look this year but after initial concept approval from the brand I was working with, in the 25th hour they decided I couldn’t use the VS name in my video. SO frustrating to water my video down to a generic look as this is one of my favorite inspired looks I’ve ever done, I worked SO hard on it, AND I think I got the look pretty close! You can be the judge of that :) I wish I could have regrouped and published this video the way I wanted but – as I’m sure you’ve heard.. I’m pregnant! I just did not have the energy to go back to the drawing board for them after such a long back-and-forth process. There’s nothing I can do at this point so I’m going to try to stop being upset about it and tell you all about the look and inspiration here on the blog! :)
This year’s (err.. last year) Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was my favorite in years! I feel like they really got that early 2000s magical essence that has seemed to disappear over the years. The girls looked so gorgeous, the designs were fantastic, & I loved the musical guests (especially Bruno Mars!). Let’s talk about the makeup look though *heart eyes* !!! As much as I love the way VS models are styled, the makeup is never wearable for me and my huge eyes. If I don’t have eyeliner on, it doesn’t even look like I have makeup on so I love that the girls were rockin’ a winged liner this year! So flirty and perfect for Paris.
If you saw my Paris Travel Diary you’ve already seen these photos but if you haven’t.. you’re in for a treat! At least I think so! :) Our visit to The Louvre back in December became one of my favorite photo-sets and I just had to break it off into it’s own post. My husband, Waseem, and I closed out 2015 & kicked off the new year in Paris and London. We took the exact same trip back in 2012 and he proposed to me at Pont des Arts which is just a stone’s throw from the Louvre. So, it’s needless to say that this itinerary is very near and dear to our hearts. <3 We were engaged on Cinco de Mayo 2012 so I thought it was pretty fitting to repost this today!
Enjoy the photos! If you missed the Paris post be sure to check out the full travel diary and travel vlog.… View Post
Hello my loves! Gosh, I have been MIA for awhile huh?? This year got off to a really rough start and it took me awhile to normalize and get back into a routine. Hopefully everything will be peachy from here on out! wooosah!!
We spent the holidays and New Year in London & Paris as you already know! If you missed my London Travel Diary be sure to check it out, its my absolute favorite set of travel photos yet! Because of my self-imposed high standards after that post, it made me drag my feet with getting my Paris photos done. They’re just not up to par and proves why I need to stop editing things out of order.. of course quality gets better as you progress haha.
Paris is such a special city for us, we got engaged back in 2012 at the Pont des Arts and we’ve been wanting to visit the city of love again ever since! We had just a couple days of our trip to spend in Paris so we took it pretty easy. We dined with friends and did the touristy thing visiting all the landmarks. Let’s get on with the photos, you know there are a ton!… View Post
Our trip to Paris and London back in 2012 was so beyond exciting for me. It was my first overseas vacation in a very long time (the motherland never counts!), I was going away with Waseem, & hello he ended up proposing to me in Paris! Literally a dream come true. Fast forward 3.5 years, a week away from 2016, both of us burnt out from an extremely busy, but amazing, year and our friends convince us to go to London with them on 6 days notice! We didn’t care that we were running on fumes, we were so excited to jetset with our friends and revisit an itinerary so near and dear to our hearts. My individual Paris and London photo-diaries are on the way but I wanted to share my vlog with you the moment I finished it today! Our 2012 trip was my very first travel vlog; and it wasn’t very good haha so I’m excited to come back with a do-over! We were corny sightseers the whole time so hopefully this isn’t too boring. Enjoy!!… View Post
I’ve been a quiet Francophile ever since my husband proposed to me in Paris 3 years ago.. when he would call me his preanceé (pre-fianceé LOL). I am so overdue on a visit back! While I’ve had Paris on the brain, I was so excited to see Lancôme’s newest palette, Auda[city] in Paris, show up at my door! This is Lancôme’s first multi-pan palette and it’s a beauty! I used it in a makeup tutorial a few weeks ago so you might have caught it floating around my blog. I think it’s a great neutral-ish palette with a couple fun yet subtle colors. The shadows are pretty sheer, particularly the mattes, but everything is buildable especially if you use an eyeshadow primer (highly recommended with this palette) – I think Auda[city] in Paris is wonderful for the more conservative woman looking for a little variety without going overboard. It’s a great palette to create a day look that you can transform into an evening look – since I tend to be pretty gaudy with my makeup, I think I’ll gift this beauty to my mommy. She’ll love it!
Lancôme’s Auda[city] in Paris palette retails for $68 at all Lancôme counters & retailers.
