Right as November hits, I realize that Winter is my favorite season – not Fall! Maybe it’s my deep love for the holidays that really takes over the whole season. Christmas decorations are everywhere, jewel-toned makeup and clothes line the shelves and so do all things sparkly – glitter, sequins, metallic eye pigments, just so much eye candy!
I created this quick and easy makeup look today and wanted to share a few of the new Revlon ColorStay™ Eye Collection and Kiss™ Balm products that I used and have become staples in my makeup bag.
We all know that brows are the new black! Brow products have taken over the makeup world the past couple of years – we’re all just trying to keep up! I have very thin and sparse brows so I need a retractable pencil that I can create natural-looking hair-like strokes with. I am loving Revlon’s ColorStay™ Brow Pencil especially because of its thin angled tip, which allows me to quickly and easily fill in and define my brows. The opposite end is a spoolie, great for grooming my hairs and blending areas I may have gotten a little heavy-handed with. It’s a waterproof formula so the color will stay put all day. Brows are always the first thing to start fading away so this longwearing formula is definitely important to me!
I gravitate towards shimmer shadows all year long (especially golds!) but I love how much it is embraced in the winter – so festive! Revlon ColorStay™ Crème Eye Shadows are so beautifully full coverage and easy to blend! They even come with a brush built right into the cap and the tapered end is great for a precise application! I am wearing color Caramel, a beautiful shimmery gold.
For eyeliner I left my usual black and grabbed some jewel tones. I used Revlon ColorStay 2 in 1 Angled Kajal™ Liner in Fig on my top lids and Evergreen on my waterline and lower lash line. When combining the eyeliner with the new shadows and brow collection, I’m able to create a super longwearing look. On the opposite end of the eyeliner is a little brush, making smoking out your eyeliner really easy! The texture is very creamy and glides on nice and dark!
For lips I wanted to go with something that is low maintenance like a stain but also very hydrating for these dry winter months. I picked up Revlon’s Kiss™ Balm and it’s the prettiest everyday pink! It can be dressed up or down but always wears so comfortably as it’s infused with natural fruit oils. It even has SPF 20 to keep your lips youthful and plump! The Kiss™ Balm comes in 6 juicy shades and I can’t wait to try them all! I’m wearing Fresh Strawberry.
What are you ladies looking for as your makeup and style transitions from Fall to Winter?
