Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop Shimmering Skin Perfector

I am SO proud of myself today lol!!! I always miss the train on amazing highlighters and you know I’m all about that glow life. I missed MAC’s Whisper of Gilt, I missed Estee Lauder’s Heat Wave, I’ve bought dupes, etc and just never found exactly what I was looking for. I have been meaning to buy Opal by Becca Cosmetics for what feels like forever now, but ironically enough I don’t shop for makeup that often and I just got lazy with picking it up. The makeup bug hit me yesterday and I set out to do some shopping. Becca teamed up with Jaclyn Hill on a new limited edition Shimmering Skin Perfector for Summer 2015 called Champagne Pop and I thought it was releasing yesterday so my mission was to pick up both Opal and Champagne Pop at the same time. I stalked every Sephora within a 30 minute radius from me and either they were a smaller store that doesn’t carry Becca or they said that they were putting Champagne Pop on the shelves the next day. I picked up Opal anyways (& a million other things.. oops) and la-la-laaahved it on my skin! It’s so soft, so creamy, and really gives that intense highlight I’m always looking for. My only complaint is that it’s pretty cool toned.. the next shade up I believe was Rose Gold and it was a little too dark for a highlight in my taste. I tried layering a gold on top of Opal to warm it up but it didn’t make much of a difference.. I still love it though and will not be returning it *hugs packaging*. Also I think the fact that it’s cool toned makes it a versatile product, wearable with many different looks. Anywho, I woke up early, got a notification from Sephora.com that Champagne Pop is now available so I started calling my local stores again to see if they’d hold one for me… no one has it!!!! So I ended up buying it online (along with some other things.. oops x2) and I can’t wait to get it in the mail! If the formula is like Opal I will be so so happy! Once my package arrives I’ll film a haul video of all the goodies I picked up yesterday and today 🙂

Overline Lips + Smashbox Giveaway (100 Winners!!!)

Happy Monday!

I have a super simple but highly requested tutorial up on my channel today – a breakdown of how I over-line my lips! For years I would just line my lips as usual and go a little outside of my natural lip-line. Lately, I’ve been starting above my top lip and working my way down; I call it drawing a little mustache. You’d think that the final result would look the same but I find that this is what works best for me to not only get a dramatic over-lined look but I also have more control over the shape of the final product and it always ends up looking prettier. I had the pleasure of shooting this video at Smashbox Studios; while i was there for the day they taught me how to create custom lip glosses and let me create my own personal color. I ended up with a muted purple / mauve type of color and they named it Irene’s Dusty Rose. Smashbox is doing a giveaway of my gloss and get this.. there will be 100 winners!!!! I’m talking, full sized, proper Smashbox packaging, delivered to your door! & with 100 chances to win, your odds of winning are amazing!! Subscribe to my blog HERE and it’ll take you to the giveaway page right after! Can’t wait to see you guys rocking my lippy, good luck!!

Grunge Makeup Tutorial

Hi dolls!

I’ve been having a lot of fun with my makeup lately and have been trying to make it a point to step outside of my regular makeup looks. Not only have I been trying to change up the usual winged liner / matte brown lip look I always end up with but I’ve been trying (emphasis on the word trying) to change up the products that I use. I have a surplus of makeup but when I like something, I end up constantly reaching for it which causes me to neglect anything else i have – new or old. By forcing myself to use different things, my looks actually have been ended up visibly different! Usually I feel like no matter what I do or what I change, in photos It always looks the same but just my last 3 looks on IG alone I think created great variety! Okay, I’m babbling 🙂 Today, I created a grungy wet look, let me know what you think!! Enjoy! xo

My Beauty Must Haves – Zardozi Magazine SS15

Hi guys! I’m so honored to be Zardozi Magazine‘s guest beauty advisor this issue! A few of my must-haves were swapped out for other products (maybe for availability’s sake?? I honestly don’t know), so i wanted to reiterate my faves here – I always want to make sure my recommendations are authentic and honest for you guys before you shell out any $$$.

I don’t use masks as often as I should because they’re so time consuming and messy but when I do I love the Aztec Indian Healing Clay mask. You all know I love my Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Peel Pads, I’ve raved over them for so long and still use them lovingly. Another peel-like product i’ve begun using regularly is Pixi Glow Tonic.
